Pregnancy is the most BEAUTIFUL time in a woman’s life. The expectant momma is glowing, she’s feeling the baby grow and develop movement, & loved ones around her are seeing that gorgeous baby bump!
This also means that she may be experiencing some aches and pains along the way. This list may include nausea, headaches, fatigue, back soreness, acid reflux, pubic pain, abnormal fetal position, rib aching & others. ALL of these symptoms have been diminished or relieved through gentle chiropractic care.
There are many options in adjusting the expectant female as she progresses through her pregnancy. We have custom pillows that allow you to lie on your stomach while being evaluated and adjusted. MOMS LOVE THIS!
Dr. Nicole holds her CACCP, which is a specialized 200-hour certification program from the International Chiropractic Pediatric Association (ICPA). This has given her the knowledge and training to care for each expectant mother through her unique pregnancy experience. She also adjusts many infants at birth and continues to adjust them through childhood.
-80% of infants suffer trauma to their spine during birth. This trauma usually goes unnoticed until symptoms such as ear, nose & throat infections, asthma, colic, & delayed developmental milestones occur.
Her training also taught her the WEBSTER TECHNIQUE. This is a specific technique for the pregnant female, described below:
- The Webster protocol is a specific chiropractic sacral analysis and diversified adjustment. The goal of the adjustment is to reduce the effects of sacral subluxation/SI joint dysfunction. In doing so neuro-biomechanical function in the pelvis is improved. This reduces the effects of intrauterine constraint and allows the baby to get in the best possible position for birth.
- Larry Webster, founder of the ICPA developed this adjustment as a safe means to restore proper pelvic balance and function. It was developed to restore normal physiological function of the mother and improve her comfort throughout pregnancy in preparation for a safer, easier birth. He reported that in women who presented with a breech baby, the results of the adjustment appeared to normalize pelvic neuro-biomechanics and facilitate optimal fetal positioning. As he taught other doctors of chiropractic this adjustment, they too reported positive changes in baby positioning.
We hope to meet you during your pregnancy to positively impact your journey!
